Legal Assistant – Wills, Trusts & Probate Preston | Full‑Time | 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm The Wills, Trusts & Probate team is looking for a Legal Assistant to support our busy department and provide an excellent first point of contact for clients. This role is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, delivers strong client service, and enjoys working in a fast‑paced, detail‑focused environment 🔹 Role Responsibilities • Provide professional, empathetic communication to clients by telephone and email. • Support lawyers with diary management, appointment scheduling, and preparation of documents. • Assist with the administration of Wills, Trusts and Probate matters, including file opening, ID verification, and document registration. • Manage storage processes: locate documents, arrange collections, update records, and maintain accurate data. • Process payments, verify client details, and ensure all information is recorded correctly. • Maintain organised workflows and proactively identify tasks requiring attention. • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth departmental operations. 🔹 Experience & Skills Required • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role — ideally within Private Client/WTP. • Experience using Proclaim is preferred; however, candidates with experience in other case management systems are still encouraged to apply. • Excellent communication skills, with confidence handling telephone enquiries. • Empathy and professionalism when supporting bereaved or vulnerable clients. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Effective organisational and multitasking abilities. • Confidence using IT systems and digital workflows. • A proactive, supportive approach and the ability to work well within a team. 🔹 Why Join Napthens • A supportive, collaborative team environment. • A strong commitment to client care and professional standards. • A workplace shaped by our values: We Understand.
