Description
Lynwood Village in Ascot is a retirement community designed for individuals aged 65 and over. It is situated in a scenic location with free parking. It features a variety of amenities a swimming pool, gym and various leisure activities. The Village offers 152 apartments and cottages. Overall, Purpose: To offer a range of support services and activities to residents living within Gold Care Homes ’s retirement communities which meet their identified needs and supports them to live independently, safely and securely. Within Lynwood Village this role will act as first responder to emergency situations which occur within the Village. Duties and Responsibilities • To deliver person centred support services to meet residents’ personal, social and emotional care needs ensuring their involvement in all aspects of their well-being. • To participate in social interaction with residents. • To update records as directed by the line manager and in-line with Gold Care Homes ’s policies and procedures. • To participate in the implementation of quality assurance programmes within the service the post holder operates. • To raise awareness and understanding of Gold Care Homes ’s services with external Health Care and other agencies and ensure residents are aware of the range of care and other support services which may be available to them. • To maintain an information service library that is available for and accessible to residents. • To conduct welfare checks as required of residents, in-line with the procedure of the service in which the post holder operates and contact appropriate Next of Kin (NOK)/Power of Attorney (PoA) and/or professionals when required to ensure residents’ health, safety and well-being is maintained. • Support reception services as required to ensure excellent resident services at all times. • To respond to emergencies and undertake the role of incident manager as required in the absence of any other senior managers . • · To ensure Warden Call testing is completed, logged and saved and any faults reported. • · To maintain and update PEEP information log for the fire safety bag. • · To update and maintain first aid kits within the village – advise if items need ordering.
