Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Linux/Windows System Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance both Linux and Windows server environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with server administration, system security, virtualization, patch management, and scripting. You’ll be a key player in ensuring system uptime, supporting deployments, and troubleshooting issues across mixed OS infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux and Windows servers and services.
• Perform regular system updates, patching, and backups.
• Implement and manage system security configurations and access controls.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across OS platforms.
• Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Support virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud integrations (AWS, Azure).
• Automate routine tasks using scripts (Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Assist in system performance tuning, disaster recovery planning, and system audits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support application deployments and infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering both Linux and Windows systems.
• Proficiency in system tools, command-line utilities, and scripting languages.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and system security practices.
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Linux+).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
