Job Description: Skills & Responsibilities • Has a fundamental understanding of metal types and basic fabrication processes (e.g., cutting, measuring, and simple assembly). • Set up and operate fabrication machinery and other metalworking equipment. • Can safely operate basic hand tools (e.g., grinders, saws, manual cutters). • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality. • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and safety checks on equipment. • Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and consistency, using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and resolve issues. Qualifications • Previous experience operating metal fabrication machinery preferred. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. • Familiarity with measurement tools and quality inspection processes. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. • Basic math skills and ability to follow detailed instructions. • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
