ABOUT THE JOB As part of the PATH Enterprises team, the Maintenance Technician I under close supervision is responsible for performing routine duties as assigned for a wide variety of repairs, preventative maintenance, facility upkeep and safe operation of People Assisting the Homeless owned and leased facilities.  Assignments may include painting, plumbing, HVAC, simple electrical work, light construction, documentation of repairs, The Maintenance Technician I will apply all basic facilities maintenance service principles, methods, technique, tools and equipment practices to comply with safety and sanitation standards, as well as applicable local, state and federal regulations.   Position Responsibilities:   Perform a variety of semi-skilled building maintenance duties involved in the repair and maintenance of facilities and grounds; perform and assist in building and maintenance tasks involving plumbing, carpentry, remodeling, painting, and a variety of other craft work.  Responsible for the upkeep of the facility. This includes maintaining the grounds and buildings. Common areas, dumpsters, and trash areas need to be kept clean and litter-free.   Assist with the turnover of rental units, including painting, cleaning, and minor renovations. Install, repair, and replace hinges, locks, and deadbolts; make keys as necessary.  Install, repair, and maintain lavatories, sinks, washbasins, toilets, urinals, foundations, grease traps, drains, gas and electric water heaters, water filters, water tanks and pumps, chlorinator systems, hot water heaters, and HVAC units, other plumbing systems and fixtures.  Replace and/or repair linoleum, ceramic tiles, baseboards, and carpeting.  Steam-clean or shampoo carpets, if needed.  Perform light masonry work, including mixing mortar and setting, truing, and finishing.  Perform and record systematic preventative maintenance processes including, but not limited to, building audits and equipment.  Ensure all scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks are completed in a timely fashion.  Inspect assigned fa
