Marine Science Centre Manager (Maternity Cover from Oct 2026 - Mar 2027) Overview The Harbour School Hong Kong Marine Science Center (MSC) is seeking a self motivated individual to join our Marine Science Center in creating and delivering environmental lessons to students of all ages and to assist in the daily and weekly care and maintenance of our aquarium animals. The MSC brings marine science curriculum into the school and provides a meaningful learning experience that integrates marine science with regional and global perspectives for students in Hong Kong. The MSC is an aquarium and laboratory facility focused on education and outreach programs. It is equipped with an invertebrate touch tank and coral and fish aquariums,  utilizing a high-tech life support system which allows research. Students visit the MSC for hands-on learning activities and gain deeper knowledge of the environment around them. Key Duties & Responsibility • Assisting lessons on ecology, oceanography, marine biology, conservation and many other subjects to a diverse group of students ranging from kindergarten to high school. • Providing direction and motivation to students working on individual research projects. • Working with THS teachers to integrate use of the facilities into instruction. • Help keep science equipment in good working order. • Assist in developing public programs and displays for the MSC. • Must have an interest in, and be willing to learn about aquarium keeping and the biology of the inhabitants. • Developing and maintaining lab equipment, supplies and stock. • Running science camps during school breaks. Requirements • Tertiary Education in the field of Science • Proficient in written and spoken English Preferred • Aquarium and life support systems experience. • Relevant mentoring experience in education. • A permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
