About the role
• Own small operational problems before they become leadership problems.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, equipment issues, cleaning, pest control, signage, trash, and supply issues.
• Escalate serious issues quickly and clearly.
• Be willing to do hands-on work when needed.
• Keep cafes operational, safe, and presentable.
What we are looking for
• 3 to 8+ years of multi-unit cafe, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or fast-casual operations experience.
• Experience managing Store Managers, Shift Leads, or multi-location teams.
• Strong understanding of labor, inventory, waste, scheduling, training, and store-level profitability.
• Hands-on leadership style.
• High standards for cleanliness, speed, product quality, and hospitality.
• Ability to read numbers and turn them into action.
• Strong communicator who can be direct without creating drama.
• Comfortable operating in a startup environment with incomplete systems.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, early mornings, and emergencies when needed.
• No ego. Must be willing to jump behind the bar, clean, move furniture, stock shelves, handle vendors, or solve whatever problem is in front of them.

• Experience at companies like Joe & The Juice, Blank Street, Starbucks, Blue Bottle, Sweetgreen, Cava, Chipotle, Pret, Philz, Equator, or a strong independent cafe group.
• Experience opening new locations is a major plus.
• Experience in high-volume urban stores is a major plus.
• Military, hospitality, or intense field-operations background is a plus.

Compensation
Competitive base salary plus performance-based upside. Final compensation depends on experience, market, and scope of responsibility.
