Description
Provide support to either Program/Project Manager in the areas of project scheduling, data gathering/analyses, database manipulation or population, preparation of technical/project reports or briefings, test plans and reports, and associated documentation, test or validation/verification assistance Oversee/perform test or project events as assigned by Program Manager or Engineering supervisor, report status and results Participate in test or project events as assigned by Manager Follow engineering guidance, technical orders, work instructions, and drawings Perform moderately complex assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, test equipment, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment (OJT) Perform and inspect wire terminations and wire harness assembly (OJT) Produce and inspect assemblies conforming to customer specifications (OJT) Assemble and/or solder per customer and/or industry standards (OJT) Perform electrical checkout of manufactured wire harnesses (OJT) Document records identifying compliance with assigned tasks regarding wire harness manufacturing (OJT) Establish, organize & maintain detailed inventory of government, customer and KIHOMAC property (OJT) Ability to operate braiding and wire cutting machines (OJT) Basic understanding of Electrostatic Sensitive Damage to electronic components (OJT) Train and assist other technicians on techniques and procedures Build/assemble electrical components according to designs, specifications, and work instructions Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as per predetermined processes (OJT) Maintain high ethical/professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment always Observe all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area Attend meetings and conferences to represent section Communicate with vendors to acquire quotes for hardware and materials (OJT) Perform hardware procurement through purchase requests (OJT) Document records identifying compliance with assigned tasks regarding wire harness manufacturing Report status and results Maintain a clean work area Work unsupervised at times Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required Associate’s Degree preferred IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 Certification desired Experience: 10-20 years of professional experience in the required task area Experience terminating wiring and building wiring harnesses required Wiring experience on aircraft and/or U.S. military aircraft maintenance desired Ability to comprehend schematics, logic drawings, layouts, wire lists, and prints required Ability to use various hand tools, soldering equipment, and machinery required Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail required Thorough understanding of electrical circuits required Wire termination experience using DMC Tools “Daniels Kit” style tools required Knowledge of cable assembly procedures required Ability to communicate clearly and effectively required Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions, identify and repair malfunctions using provided technical data and tools required Familiarity with USAF TO 1-1A-14 (AKA NAVAIR 01-1A-505-1 or TM 1-1500-323-21-1) required Basic knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 desired Capable of standing for long periods of time required Able to work cross functionally in other areas as needed Ability to identify/assign priorities based on time constraints and resources available required Basic understanding of Electrostatic Sensitive Damage to electronic components (OJT) Must be able to perform business travel; Travel may involve multiple days/weeks (less than 10%) Knowledge on Common Tool Kits use Security: Must be a US citizen Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of st
