Description
Job Description The position will manage simple to complex environmental projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to strategic environmental planning with a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated leadership in environmental assessments, permitting, and stakeholder engagement. Preferred experience includes but not limited to permitting, wetland delineations, stormwater evaluations, hazardous materials assessments, and CADD drafting. • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes. • Project management, including budgeting and scheduling. • Manage environmental projects, including wetland delineations, permitting, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Phase I & II ESAs, site remediation, and sustainability initiatives. • Interact and communicate effectively with fellow team members, clients, and agencies. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, NEPA, CEQA, RCRA, CERCLA). • Draft figures and site plans via CADD software. • Perform environmental fieldwork including oversight of subcontractor(s). • Oversee data collection, sampling, and analysis for air, water, and soil quality. • Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory filings. • Mentor and train junior staff, as appropriate. • Stay current with changes in environmental laws, policies, and best practices. • Support business development by identifying opportunities, writing proposals, and contributing to project bids. • Carry out job functions safely and in accordance with a Health and Safety Plan and/or industry standards. • Respond to inquiries and/or complaints in a timely and professional manner. • Work effectively and harmoniously in a culturally and ethnically diverse workforce. • Ability to read and understand civil engineering plans, maps, and specifications. • Perform mathematics such as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry used in field survey analysis. • Ability to explain, interpret, and teach policies, technical concepts, and designs. • Proficient with environmental modeling tools and computer software (GIS, field data processing, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software). • Manage projects and work with marketing staff to write proposals, as needed. • Perform other related duties as assigned by your manager.
