Key Responsibilities •Perform MIG welding on mild steel and structural steel components. •Read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings. •Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning and fitting components prior to welding. •Produce high-quality welds that meet project specifications and quality standards. •Carry out tack welding, fabrication and assembly of steel components. •Inspect completed welds for quality and dimensional accuracy. •Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting equipment and associated fabrication tools safely. •Work in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). •Maintain welding equipment and ensure work areas are clean and organised. •Follow all Health & Safety procedures, company policies and quality standards. •Report defects, non-conformances or safety concerns promptly. •Work effectively as part of a fabrication or site-based team.
