Job Description Join Nine's Melbourne Broadcast Operations team as a Mosart Pilot & Co-Pilot, driving high-impact live television broadcasts for one of Australia’s premier media networks. In this pivotal technical role, you will operate Mosart newscast automation systems and collaborate closely with newsroom and studio production teams to ensure seamless live transmission. Day to day you will: • Operate Mosart newscast automation systems to execute live bulletins with technical precision. • Collaborate with Line Producers and newsroom teams to review ENPS rundowns and bulletin structures. • Manage on-air technical elements, including GUI controls, audio levels, lighting, and camera setups. • Conduct comprehensive pre-broadcast studio checks to guarantee high-quality transmission standards. • Communicate effectively with studio hosts, field reporters, and control room staff during live broadcasts. • Resolve live technical issues calmly and escalate complex items to engineering teams when required. • Build and maintain efficient control templates within ENPS and Mosart to streamline production workflows. What you'll bring: • Background in television production or studio operations, with transferable live technology experience welcomed. • Prior experience in an on-air technical role or dynamic control room environment. • Familiarity with ENPS or broadcast automation systems like Mosart is desirable. • Strong technical problem-solving skills with a logical, methodical approach to learning systems. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and support team members. • A calm, composed demeanor under pressure and during time-critical live situations. • Flexibility to work across a rotating seven-day shift roster in a fast-moving media environment.
