You'll be joining a passionate, remote-first team (PT time zone) that has scaled games such as League of Legends and Destiny 2 and many more games at Riot, Bungie, PopCap, and EA. We have also scaled platforms at traditional tech companies including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, & SendGrid. Description Of Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our product team to implement and support our game engine. Empowered product teams at Pragma lead the charge on unlocking game studios by defining online capabilities and shaping game system tools. You’ll be building the APIs that game engineers use to power their multiplayer games. This includes partnering with product managers to understand the problem space, proposing solutions, participating in customer interviews, and delivering the product. Qualifications • Deep empathy for game engineers and a desire to improve their quality of life by delivering simple yet robust interfaces. • A team-oriented mindset that prioritizes team effectiveness over individual efficiency. • Desire to continuously collaborate using voice or video channels in a remote-first environment. • Experience with constructing distributed systems that scale. • Experience integrating/maintaining APIs/SDKs to remote applications, especially game platforms. • Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and load tests.
