Description
AnyDesk is a platform technology company reinventing internet connectivity. This role is an Operations Engineer / Linux Administrator responsible for the health, performance, and reliability of a large fleet of Debian Linux servers and the operational lifecycle of AnyDesk's in-house software stack.
What You'll Do
• Administer a large-scale fleet of Debian-based servers (bare metal and virtualized), including provisioning, patching, hardening, and lifecycle management
• Build and maintain configuration management and automation tools to keep server configuration consistent and reproducible across environments
• Monitor system health, capacity, and performance; proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks before they impact production
• Manage package repositories, OS upgrades, kernel updates, and security patching cycles across the fleet
• Design and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging infrastructure (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch) covering OS, application, and BEAM-specific metrics
• Build automated tooling and scripts (Bash, Python, Go) to reduce manual operational toil and improve incident response time
• Participate in on-call rotation, respond to incidents, and drive root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning; implement system hardening standards and access controls
What You Need
• 3+ years of experience in IT Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Systems Administration role, ideally supporting production infrastructure at scale
• Strong hands-on experience administering Debian/Ubuntu Linux servers in production (systemd, networking, storage, package management)
• Solid experience with configuration management/automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or similar)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, VictoriaMetrics, or similar)
• Strong scripting ability in Bash, Python, or Go
• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
• Experience participating in on-call rotation and handling production incidents calmly and methodically
• Fluent in Chinese Cantonese and Chinese Mandarin
• Linux experience required; knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu in production environments
Nice to Have
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) even if the primary fleet is bare-metal/VM based
• Experience with JVM tuning and Java application operations
• Experience with Rust build toolchains (Cargo) and packaging Rust binaries for production
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform or similar)
• Background in high-availability, low-latency, or telecom-style systems
