Job description We are looking for a talented and dedicated Optometrist to join our team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage various eye conditions, and prescribe glasses or contact lenses, helping to maintain our patients’ eye health. You will also work with ophthalmologists and other specialists to provide comprehensive, personalised treatment plans. Key responsibilities • Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients’ vision and eye health. • Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts and retinal conditions. • Prescribe glasses and contact lenses suited to each patient’s needs. • Advise and educate patients about eye care and the prevention of eye problems. • Work with ophthalmologists and other specialists to develop and implement personalised treatment plans. • Maintain and update patients’ medical records. • Take part in ongoing training and professional development. Qualifications • A degree in optometry from an accredited institution. • A valid licence to practise optometry. • Previous experience in an ophthalmology clinic is an advantage. • Excellent communication and patient-relations skills. • Attention to detail and the ability to conduct accurate examinations. • Technical skills in using modern diagnostic equipment. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and treatment methods.
