About Straub Collaborative
Straub Collaborative is a leading creative production studio specializing in high-volume e-commerce photography and visual content for global brands. Our teams operate in a fast-paced studio environment where creativity, technical precision, and collaboration drive the production of world-class imagery.
We are looking for an experienced Photographer 3 to independently lead commercial photography and video sets in our studio. This role provides on-set direction, produces consistent, high-quality content at scale, and supports the growth of other photographers while following client style guides and established workflows.
What You'll Do
Independently direct photography and video sets, including model, mannequin, and tabletop product shoots.Provide on-set leadership and direction to the photography team and cross-functional partners, establishing workflows and daily work plans on the studio floor.Independently review and evaluate visual content against client style guides, technical specifications, and creative direction to ensure flawless execution before post-production.Set up, operate, adjust, and break down professional camera, lighting, grip, and computer equipment safely and effectively.Create and maintain reproducible visual documentation, including lighting diagrams, shooting templates, and set images to guarantee studio consistency.Provide technical guidance, knowledge-sharing, onboarding support, and mentorship to other photography team members to elevate collective skills.Partner directly with internal stakeholders and clients to understand visual requirements, communicate production considerations, and drive project success.Participate in pre-production planning and retrospective reviews to enhance studio efficiency, workflow scalability, and image quality.
What You Bring
5-7 years of experience in professional e-commerce or commercial photography Strong professional portfolio demonstrating commercial photography experienceConfidence independently directing sets, managing on-set workflows, and mentoring team membersHigh attention to detail with a focus on client style guides, consistency, and efficiency Ability to work quickly, problem-solve on the fly, and manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills to collaborate smoothly with clients, coworkers, and production partners
Technical Skills
Proficiency with professional camera systems (Canon, Phase One)Advanced knowledge of studio lighting (Profoto) and grip equipmentExpert-level experience with Capture One tethering and digital workflowsFamiliarity with production software and tools like Slack, Webex, or ShotFlowComfort working on Mac OS and standard productivity toolsOpenness to or experience with AI-powered photography automation tools
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and work on a studio floor for extended periodsAbility to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbsAbility to work in low-light environments with frequent lighting changesAbility to move throughout studio and warehouse spaces.

Fast-paced e-commerce production studioOn-set and warehouse environmentWork performed under active production lighting and shoot conditionsTravel by vehicle and other forms of transportation may be required for location shoots and business travel – up to 10%.
