At Cleveland Clinic Health System, we believe in a better future for healthcare. And each of us is responsible for honoring our commitment to excellence, pushing the boundaries and transforming the patient experience, every day. We all have the power to help, heal and change lives — beginning with our own. That’s the power of the Cleveland Clinic Health System team, and The Power of Every One. Job Title Physical Therapist - Outpatient Rehab Location Stuart Facility Smithfield Plaza Department MMC Rehab Raub PT-Cleveland Clinic Martin Health Job Code 000439 Shift Days Schedule 8:00am-4:30pm Job Summary Job Details Join the Cleveland Clinic Florida team, where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. Cleveland Clinic is recognized as one of the top hospitals in the nation. At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world . Martin Health’s  Raub Rehab  is looking to add a Physical Therapist to the team who will work with patients in an outpatient setting. Physical Therapists test muscle strength, the amount of flexibility in joints, and the ability to walk or move. Treatments include exercises to increase strength, range of motion, endurance, and coordination, the use of heat, cold, electricity, or even aquatics to relieve pain, and teaching exercises and body mechanics to avoid injury or regain function. Since this position requires physical interaction with patients, Physical Therapists are highly connected with patients and build stronger patient relationships than most other health sciences specialists. Often, physical therapy patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is important. Equally important is giving patients the drive and support they need to work hard and regain their health. With our vision being to be the best place to work in healthcare and the best place to receive care, this position serves that vision by providing greater access to care and reducing wait times for patients. These benefits carry over to being   a great place   to work, as better coverage reduces clinician burden associated with excessive caseloads and lack of coverage. Compared to other outpatient clinics, Cleveland Clinic has a consistent caseload of 10 patients over an   8-hour   shift, all one-on-one,   with   appointments taking place in   45-minute   blocks. This schedule is often highlighted by caregivers of ours that have worked at other   locations as   providing generous time with each patient. A caregiver in this position works   Monday-Friday between 8:00AM – 5:00PM,   with flexibility on start/end times based upon patient schedules . Traveling to other Outpatient sites across Martin Health in Martin and St. Lucie counties will be   required , as needed. A caregiver who excels in this role will: • Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. • Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments   in accordance with   the   physician   referral, ensuring the care,   safety   and wellbeing of the patient. • Review and evaluate the patient's response or   lack thereof   to   treatment. • Make recommendations to the physician   relative   to the need to continue or   discontinue   physical therapy treatment. • Provide   appropriate documentation   of each   patient   visit   in accordance with   departmental policies and procedures. • Be responsible for   the maintenance and care of all equipment and apparatus. • Be responsible for   the economical use of supplies,   linens   and utilities. • Provide   appropriate billing   for each patient visit   in accordance with   departmental policies and procedures. • Assist   in on-the-job training of all ancillary personnel. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: • Bachelor’s Degree or certificate • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or related international degree • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross • Internship experience Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
