Position Summary
Join Bronson's outpatient rehabilitation team and enjoy the flexibility of a PRN role while making a meaningful impact through our 1:1 patient care model . Based primarily at Bronson South Haven , with opportunities to provide coverage at Bronson Lakeview , this position allows you to build strong patient relationships and deliver individualized care that helps patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans for patients recovering from injury, surgery, and musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. Through evidence-based interventions and patient-centered care, you will help patients improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and maximize independence.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations using standardized assessments to identify functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals, clinical findings, and patient goals.
• Provide direct one-on-one patient care through therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, functional training, and other evidence-based interventions.
• Assess and monitor patient mobility, strength, range of motion, coordination, balance, and functional performance.
• Establish measurable goals and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in program development, process improvement initiatives, and departmental activities.
• Serve as a clinical resource within areas of expertise.
• Provide coverage within Rehabilitation Services as needed.
Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Maintain complete, legible, and compliant patient records.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, interventions, patient progress, and outcomes.
• Communicate documentation barriers or workflow concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Participate in department meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills.
Leadership & Mentorship
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Rehabilitation Clinical Assistants, PT and PTA students, volunteers, and athletic trainers as assigned.
• Support student education and clinical learning experiences.
• Foster a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence and continuous learning.
Qualifications
Required
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Michigan Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• BLS certification within three months of hire.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems.
Preferred
• Previous outpatient rehabilitation experience.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to assist with patient transfers, mobility activities, and therapeutic interventions.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
