Job Profile Summary This role focuses on performing work related to research and development of new products, innovation, and improvement of products and processes .  In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Research Programs and Projects duties: Supports the development of new products and innovation.  Includes Clinical roles focused on research projects.  Positions in this family perform basic, translational, and/or clinical research towards solving a specific problem for an entity or community. A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs .  The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education .   An experienced level role that applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience .  Works independently with general supervision, problems faced are difficult but typically not complex, and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Job Description Minimum Qualifications : 1. PHD in a relevant field of study OR M.D. 2. Prior experience in healthcare research . Preferred Qualifications: 1. R ecord of publication in relevant field of study. Duties and Responsibilities : The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list .  Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 1. Conduct s independent research projects within the healthcare field, under the guidance and mentorship of senior researchers. 2. Design s and implement s research studies, including experimental protocols, data collection methods, and statistical analysis plans. 3. Analyze s and interpret s research data, using appropriate statistical techniques and software. 4. Prepare s research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences and scientific meetings. 5. Collaborate s with other researchers and professionals to develop and refine research hypotheses, study designs, and methodologies. 6. Stay s updated with the latest advancements and breakthroughs in healthcare research and apply relevant knowledge to ongoing projects. 7. Assist s in securing research funding by contributing to grant writing and research proposal development. 8. Collaborate s with healthcare professionals and institutions to collect clinical data and samples for research purposes. 9. Contribute s to the development and validation of new diagnostic tools, treatments, and interventions. 10. Participate s in the preparation of research reports, progress updates, and grant applications. 11. Mentor s and provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate students involved in research projects. 12. Collaborate s with industry partners to translate research findings into practical applications and technologies. 13. Collaborate s with regulatory bodies and ethics committees to ensure compliance with research protocols and regulations. 14. Contribute s to the dissemination of research findings to healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the general public through various channels, such as seminars, workshops, and publications. 15. Maintain s accurate and organized records of research data, protocols, and results, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Physical Requirements : 1. Typical clinical and administrative office setting. Skills & Abilities: 1. Demonstrated experience in research design, data collection, statistical analysis, and scientific writing. 2. Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and data management tools. 3. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets. 4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting research findings to diverse audiences. 5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 6. Knowledge of ethical guidelines and regulations related to healthcare research. Pay Range : $60,908.12 - $76,140.43
