You will also be responsible for handling challenging situations, offering guidance, and playing an active role in rehabilitation efforts. This job requires physical fitness, as you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks across different shifts. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and maintain security within the prison. • Build constructive relationships with prisoners to support their rehabilitation. • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe, secure, and positive environment. • Perform peacekeeping, counseling, and other duties as needed. • Work various shifts, including nights and weekends. • No formal qualifications required; personal qualities are more important. • Must be at least 18 years old. • Pass medical and fitness assessments. • Strong communication, influencing, and decision-making skills. • Ability to work in a physically demanding and challenging environment. • Salary: £30,902 - £34,800, depending on weekly hours worked. • Flexible working hours, including full-time, part-time, and job share options. • 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 days after 10 years of service. • Civil Service pension of up to 20% of your salary. • Onsite training provided during initial employment.
