PURPOSE/REASON FOR THE POSITION : Produce newscasts and gather information for news stories for WHO-TV, WHO 13 News and www.who13.com. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB : • Ability to produce evening and morning newscasts. • Ability to write news stories. • Ability to read information sources. • Ability to handle live breaking news. • Ability to handle deadline pressure. • Ability to give directions to anchors, reporters, photographers, and directors. • Typical shift would be 11pm to 4am.
