Across more than 15 countries, we accelerate startups, strengthen clean energy ecosystems, and develop market-based solutions that accelerate the global transition to a clean energy economy. In Thailand, New Energy Nexus is building the country's clean energy workforce, supporting entrepreneurs, and strengthening the enabling ecosystem needed to rapidly scale distributed renewable energy. The Role Thailand is entering a critical period of distributed solar growth. Achieving national energy security and decarbonization goals will require not only technology and financing, but also a highly skilled workforce capable of designing, installing, financing and maintaining rooftop solar and energy storage systems. The Program Manager (Solar) will lead NEX Thailand's workforce development and market activation programs under the New Energy Skills / Market Makers initiative. The role combines ecosystem building, workforce skills training, partnership development, program management, industry engagement and policy collaboration to address key barriers limiting rooftop solar deployment. Working closely with government agencies, industry associations, utilities, financial institutions and solar companies, the Program Manager (Solar) will help build a stronger solar installation ecosystem while creating new employment opportunities across Thailand. Key Responsibilities Lead Thailand's New Energy Skills Program Lead the implementation and growth of Thailand's solar workforce development strategy. Design and manage training programs for rooftop solar installers, technicians and installation companies. Coordinate Train-the-Trainer programs and regional training hubs. Develop annual workplans, implementation schedules and program budgets. Monitor program KPIs, participant outcomes and long-term workforce impact. Ensure high quality delivery across all training activities. Build Strategic Partnerships Represent NEX in working groups, conferences and government consultations. Develop and manage relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders including: Department of Skill Development (DSD) and related government agencies Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) / Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) Vocational colleges and universities Solar industry associations EPC companies / Solar installers and distributors Strengthen Thailand's Solar Finance Ecosystem Work with financial institutions to better understand barriers to residential and SME rooftop solar financing. Mapping Thailand's solar finance landscape. Engaging banks, leasing companies and fintech partners. Identifying financing gaps faced by households, SMEs and installers. Working with partners to pilot innovative financing models. Supporting research that informs future finance products and market development. Support Supply Chain Development Collaborate closely with NEX Bridge and the NEX China team to strengthen Thailand's renewable energy supply chain. Identifying equipment and procurement challenges faced by installers. Connecting Thai companies with trusted manufacturers and suppliers. Sharing market intelligence between Thailand and regional teams. Program Management & Reporting Manage grants and donor-funded activities. Track budgets and project deliverables. Prepare donor reports and presentations. Coordinate consultants and training partners. Support proposal development for future funding opportunities.
