Description
The Receptionist continuously offers the highest level of service to all corporate employees and their visitors. The Corporate Receptionist provides exceptional service by greeting and assisting all visitors and answering inbound calls. Maintains the company's professional image by providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service—you are our resident "Director of First Impressions."
The successful applicant will be supporting an upcoming customer-facing project. This role requires a professional, service-oriented individual with previous retail customer service experience, as you will be interacting with employees, visitors, and clients daily while helping deliver an exceptional customer experience.
The Receptionist will also be called upon to assist in other SPS service areas including, but not limited to, Mail/Shipping Operations, Hospitality, and general office/facilities support based on operational needs to provide a top-tier customer experience.
A willingness to be cross-functional in SPS onsite services is essential. This role continuously delivers the highest level of service to all customers.
Responsibilities:
Reception Duties Provide 5-star customer service to all employees and visitors through all forms of communication. Log visitors into the registration system. Activate temporary badges for employees who have forgotten, lost, or are experiencing issues with their access badge. Issue facility access cards to employees. Prioritize incoming calls and escalate customer service issues through the appropriate chain of command. Ensure company phone and speed dial lists remain current. Provide light administrative support, including scheduling meeting rooms, ordering catering, and assisting other teams with tasks such as envelope labeling, compiling manuals, and other administrative projects. Proactively seek additional work during downtime. Build professional relationships with customers and cross-functional teams. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area, including visitor reading materials. Maintain professionalism and composure when interacting with callers and visitors.

Qualifications & Education High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. 1–3 years of previous work experience required, with a strong preference for administrative, reception, concierge, or customer-facing experience. Previous retail customer service experience is prefered to support an upcoming customer-facing project. Ability to work assigned hours as determined by the manager. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Superb written and verbal English communication skills. Customer-focused, task-driven personality. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments and customer needs. Proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, computer-based systems including multi-line phone systems, PC/Mac environments, Microsoft Office, multifunction printers/scanners, and other office equipment used in SPS service areas. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
