Position purpose: Reporting to Group Head, Legal, this role will be responsible for providing day-to-day legal support to companies and business units within the Luxasia Group, which spans across 15 Asia-Pacific markets. Key responsibilities: Provide day-to-day legal advice to the business on contractual and other legal matters. Draft, negotiate and/or review a wide variety of contracts e.g., tenancy, retailer, distribution, sub-distribution, service and e-commerce agreements. Manage the process of contract reviews, renewals, terminations, and enforcement of contractual terms as necessary. Collaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among the Legal and Corporate Development, Finance team, business teams and other internal business units / teams within the Luxasia Group. Liaise with the senior management team and colleagues as necessary/appropriate. Requirements: Qualified solicitor with post-qualification experience in (ideally between 3-5 PQE) recognized and reputable law firms with specific emphasis on commercial contract reviews, drafting, advice and process management. Strong legal knowledge and technical fluency particularly in corporate law and procedures and data protection / privacy laws. Must have excellent time management and project management skills, be able to manage/prioritize multiple matters and balance quality with expedience. Flexibility to operate in nimble, rapidly changing and growing environment, and comfortable with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadline. High degree of professional ethics and integrity. High attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture. Sound judgement and ability to spot, analyse and articulate issues, and identify solutions. Able to use initiative and work autonomously as well as work as a team member with other internal departments. Must have strong legal drafting skills with a meticulous attention to detail and form. Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English necessary. Highly proficient in Excel and Word.
