Job Scope
We're hiring a Sales Account Manager to support biotech customers across the Nordic region. This role combines scientific expertise with relationship building and business growth, bringing scientific credibility to customer conversations while developing new opportunities and growing long-term partnerships across your territory.
What You Will Do
Develop and strategically manage assigned accounts across the territory, building strong partnerships with biotech organizations and key decision-makers to deliver tailored solutions, drive sustainable revenue growth, prospect new accounts, and secure new business across both new and existing customers
Research and understand your territory's growth opportunities by mapping customer needs, the competitive landscape, and untapped segments; develop an effective business plan and sales strategy and deepen client relationships by understanding both short-term project needs and long-term research goals to position GenScript's products and services as a strategic fit for their work
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - technical, marketing, project management, and other supporting teams - to deliver an outstanding customer experience
Schedule customer visits and sales calls to address customer needs both in person and online, execute your sales strategy with timely follow-up on every interaction, capture detailed notes through CRM to keep your pipeline accurate and your team informed, and use these insights to continuously refine your approach and prioritise your time
Share market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback with internal stakeholders to help shape our commercial strategy
Represent GenScript at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and networking events.
What We're Looking For
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in the Life Science field plus at least 1 year of sales experience within the life sciences, biotechnology, or CRO sector
Hands-on laboratory experience and the ability to engage confidently in scientific discussions with customers
Experience in prospecting, territory management, lead management, negotiation and closing
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Strong self-motivated, self-organization and able to work independently in a remote environment
Fluent English communication skills
Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
Nice to have:
Masters or PhD in a Life Science
Fluency in Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish
Familiarity with one or more of: Gene Synthesis, Proteins, Peptides, Antibodies, Cell Line Development Services
Track record working effectively in a global, cross-functional, multicultural team.
