About the Position     The Sales Engineer – Southeast Asia (Malaysia/Indonesia) reports to the Manager of  APAC  Sales Engineering and is responsible for driving technical sales success and supporting revenue growth within an assigned geographic area. They are responsible for directly engaging end users to stimulate business through indirect sales channels such as value-added resellers (VARs), resellers and distributors, and to serve as liaisons to channel partners with regards to any sales-related service and support issues.            A Day  in  the Life     The main responsibilities of the role include forging strategic relationships with channel partners to help them develop, support, and sell our solutions. Additionally, they are the primary technical contact for end users interested in purchasing the WatchGuard product lines.   SEs train and support partners, provide demos to both partners and customers, assist in customer evaluations &   Proof of Concepts (POCs), as well as deliver technical enablement and help answer questions from their customers relating to our solutions. SEs help answer RFP que stion s and provide customer and partner feedback to our Product Management  team,  helping  to represent  the needs of our customers, partners and field teams. In addition to these responsibilities, the Sales Engineer serves a s  a trusted  cyber security advisor  to partners, customers and the sales organization, work ing closely with the sales teams during sales calls and meetings to help evangelize WatchGuard solutions.
