About this role Grant Thornton Australia is looking for a   Senior Associate , Data Analytics   to join our Financial Advisory team in   Melbourne or Sydney. As part of our Financial Advisory practice, you will   collaborate with other areas of the business, gathe r,   extract   and analyse data   to help   provide meaningful and actionable insights and recommendations for the firm’s clients , providing solutions to complex financial and business problems . This role offers a compelling opportunity for a data-driven professional with   3 /4   years ’   experience to deepen their expertise in   analytics , and   would be i deal for someone who’s already worked with data in a commercial setting and is looking to expand their impact through more complex problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and scalable delivery.   You will   have   direct interaction with senior leaders and other key stakeholders,   enjoying a diverse workload and being involved in the ongoing strategy and development of this growing team. Key responsibilities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks , specifying the data to be collected and methodologies and tools used • Work closely with stakeholders to   identify   data sources, gather relevant information, and   perform ETL   processes   (extraction, cleaning,   transformation   and loading) • Build   and   maintain   data models, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, or Python   to automate and simulate processes, adjusting and recasting models as   required • Learn how to   identify   trends and patterns, and   p rovide   actionable insights and recommendations based on data findings Skills   and   experience • University degree in a relevant discipline • At least  3   year’s experience   in a similar role • Analytical and problem-solving skills • Adaptable and   dynamic approach to work, with ability to pivot between different projects and teams as needed • Excellent communication skills, including interpreting requirements   of diverse teams   and adapting   interpersonal   style to   different audiences If   you’re   interested in this role but   don’t   feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team .
