Description
Teleport is an AI Infrastructure Identity Company solving identity and access challenges for human, machine, workload, and AI agent authorization. This Senior Backend Engineer role focuses on building and scaling Teleport Core Product, a Go-based open source platform, with emphasis on performance, scalability, security, and reliability in large deployments. What You'll Do • Become an expert on scalability, performance, and reliability of Teleport in large deployments • Design, develop, and ship high-quality products working on the full lifecycle from customer understanding to implementation, testing, and documentation • Write code primarily in Go for the open source Teleport platform • Collaborate with other teams on matters related to scalability and performance • Work directly with customers to diagnose and remediate performance issues What You Need • Extensive Go programming experience • Extensive experience developing scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems and platforms • Linux systems engineering experience • Knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models • Builder mentality with experience building zero-to-one products • Willingness to complete a coding challenge in Go as part of the interview process Nice to Have • Significant contributions to open source projects • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to master new technologies • Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset Extensive health coverage, annual expense budget, rest and recovery policies, retirement savings plans, professional development opportunities
