​​Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: Senior Bookkeeper Compensation range: $1,800 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: The company is an Australian-based financial services firm that provides personalized bookkeeping, accounting, and administrative solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. They offer a range of services designed to help business owners manage their finances and streamline their operations; Bookkeeping & Accounting,  Role Overview: Preparation of client accounts; Day to day data entry of client transactions and preparation of required workpapers and statutory returns under the supervision of the team leader Transaction processing (bookkeeping), payroll, BAS/IAS, superannuation, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable  Key Responsibilities:  Accurately reconcile all transactions daily/weekly/monthly in Xero for multiple entities Processing invoices in Dext Preparation of payroll for multiple entities on a weekly basis including Superannuation  Preparation of monthly or quarterly Business Activity Statements and monthly IAS Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines and submission of returns for clients by the deadline Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg ATO integrated client account, super and payroll tax)   Able to competently prepare a fully reconciled Trial Balance Able to competently prepare Adjustment Journals Invoicing of client statements and receivables Promptly informs the Manager of any issues with accounts Maintains and builds a supportive and effective team culture Upholds and promotes the firm’s value Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards. Requirements The role’s minimum skills include:  At least 3+ years’ experience in Australian Bookkeeping or Accounting Advanced Skills with XERO Experience with Dext Experience with Karbon Experience with XPM Intermediate Word and Excel skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Well-honed bookkeeping skills with above average communications skills Desired Skills or Qualifications: Accounting degree;  Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification  Familiarity with the Australian Taxation Office portal Key Performance Indicators of Success include: ●        All transactions entered accurately with appropriate supporting evidence ●        Bank reconciliations are performed on all bank accounts at an agreed frequency ●        All statutory returns are accurate and submitted on time ●        All payrolls are completed on time and accurately ●        All client requests are responded to within 24 hours (being the next business day) Work Arrangement & Expectations: This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
