WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a book of commercial business, supporting producers with new and renewal opportunities, and ensuring clients receive a high-touch service experience.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & CLIENT SERVICE
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients, responding to inquiries regarding coverage, policy changes, endorsements, billing, and claims support.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and risk management guidance.
- Review client exposures and business operations to identify coverage gaps, recommend solutions, and support account retention.
- Manage the renewal process from start to finish, including gathering updated underwriting information, reviewing loss history, and preparing renewal strategies.
- Independently service assigned accounts, including those not directly supported by a producer.
- Support clients with claims-related concerns and coordinate with carriers to facilitate resolution.
- Ensure all accounts remain compliant and protected from lapses in coverage, minimizing agency E&O exposure.
MARKETING & NEW BUSINESS SUPPORT
- Collaborate with producers on new business and renewal marketing initiatives.
- Prepare complete and accurate insurance applications and submissions for carrier review.
- Identify and negotiate with appropriate insurance markets to obtain competitive coverage solutions for clients.
- Follow up with carriers for quotations and underwriting requirements.
- Review and compare quotes to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with client needs.
- Develop and present proposals and coverage recommendations to producers and clients.
- Assist with binding coverage, policy issuance, and obtaining required client documentation.
POLICY ADMINISTRATION
- Prepare and process certificates of insurance, endorsements, binders, policy changes, audits, and related documentation.
- Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and completeness.
- Order and review loss runs, update schedules, and maintain policy records.
- Maintain accurate client information, policy data, and documentation within AMS360.
- Coordinate agency billing, carrier payables, invoicing, and premium collection activities.
- Work closely with Account Assistants and service teams to ensure timely completion of administrative tasks.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & RETENTION
- Support agency growth initiatives through cross-selling and identifying additional coverage opportunities for existing clients.
- Assist in developing new business opportunities through referrals and client relationships.
- Maintain a high level of account retention and profitability.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, carrier appetite, and emerging commercial insurance products.
- Partner with producers and agency leadership to achieve revenue, retention, and client satisfaction goals.
TEAM COLLABORATION
- Meet regularly with producers to review account activity, renewal strategies, and client opportunities.
