Description
LegalVision is a commercial law firm built for forward thinking businesses that want to work differently. Through our fixed-fee legal membership, we provide unlimited legal support to SMEs and in-house teams. Our team uses custom-built technology to deliver fast, high-quality legal support with predictable pricing for clients and rewarding careers for our lawyers. With rapidly scaling operations across Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand, LegalVision offers clear progression, exposure to complex work at scale, and the opportunity to be part of an innovative law firm recognised as a 5 Star Employer of Choice, a Top 25 Attraction Firm, and Law Firm of the Year. The Opportunity Our commercial disputes and litigation practice area is looking for talented lawyers ready to step into a role with real substance. You will work directly with clients ranging from SMEs to large corporate entities who value your expertise. Our client base spans a wide range of industries and sectors, meaning your day-to-day work will be genuinely varied, engaging, and intellectually stimulating. You will handle matters both large and small across different commercial contexts, from retail and hospitality to manufacturing, technology, professional services, construction, and beyond. This diversity keeps the work fresh and challenging, whilst allowing you to develop deep commercial insight into how different businesses operate, make decisions, and manage risk. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing and directing your own varied caseload of litigious and pre-litigation matters from inception right through to trial or resolution. Building direct, trusted-advisor relationships with clients, where your strategic advice genuinely shapes business decisions and commercial outcomes. Running large, complex commercial litigation. Guiding junior lawyers through complex matters, fostering their professional growth and confidence, and reviewing their work. Sharing your expertise through articles, webinars and internal training.  Given the nature of the work, hands-on experience in managing large complex commercial litigation (particularly matters involving contract law, Australian Consumer Law or the Corporations Act) from commencement right through to trial is essential. Experience in dealing with regulatory or intellectual property matters is also desirable. Beyond your technical capabilities, you will have a natural aptitude for mentoring and developing junior lawyers, with the leadership skills to guide them through complex matters whilst fostering their professional growth and confidence.  You will be part of a genuinely collaborative team that values work-life balance and supports rather than competes with one another. We offer real flexibility in how and where you work because we know that lawyers thrive when they are trusted with autonomy. This is a culture built on mutual respect and shared success, where you can advance your career without sacrificing your well-being. Candidates should be confident with the processes and rules of the NSW Courts and the Federal Court. Experience in other jurisdictions will be highly regarded, as will experience acting in proceedings before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (or other state equivalent bodies). The Ideal Candidate Admitted lawyer in New South Wales with 4+ years of strong experience in commercial disputes and litigation. Proven ability to manage litigious and pre-litigation matters with minimal supervision. Commercially minded with the ability to provide strategic, practical advice aligned to clients’ broader business objectives. Strong client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted-advisor relationships. Excellent drafting, negotiation, advocacy, and matter management skills with strong attention to detail. Comfortable working across a diverse range of industries and adapting quickly to new commercial contexts. Team-o
