For our office in Madrid , we are looking for a (Senior) Legal Counsel (m/f/d) Your Responsibilities • Independently advise Aquila Capital on all legal matters relating to general commercial and contract law, with a focus on projects in the areas of   renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro), real estate, and infrastructure • Provide legal support in the   restructuring and sale of projects  within the above-mentioned asset classes • Independently draft, review, and negotiate national and international agreements and documentation, in particular: • Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs) • EPC contracts • Operation and maintenance (O&M) agreements • Procurement and other service agreements • Lease agreements • Enforce and defend warranty, damages, and other claims • Support out-of-court negotiations as well as national and international litigation and arbitration proceedings • Advise and train specialists and senior management across departments on legal matters, particularly regarding current developments in renewable energy law and restructuring • Act as an interface between internal departments and external advisors, including the management of external counsel Your Profile • Fully qualified Spanish lawyer or a comparable European qualification • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in a commercially or transaction-focused law firm • Strong expertise in the areas outlined above (comprehensive knowledge of all areas is not required) • Fluent Spanish and English skills (additional language skills are an advantage) • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand complex business matters • Structured, results-oriented, and independent working style • Committed and resilient personality with strong communication skills and enthusiasm for a steep learning curve • Confident and professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
