ABOUT NUMA
Hey there! We’re Numa, a forward-thinking hospitality brand redefining how people discover cities. We create spaces where simplicity meets innovation, offering thoughtfully designed rooms, studios, and apartments in the heart of Europe’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. We’re not just transforming the guest experience—we’re revolutionizing the hospitality industry from the inside out. Our cutting-edge technology streamlines operations, delivering unparalleled value with no hidden fees—just real, quality experiences. At Numa, we believe that travel should be curious and authentic, and we bring those same values to our work culture. As part of our team, you’ll experience a dynamic and supportive environment where creativity thrives, and your contributions make a real impact. We’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where every voice is valued, and different perspectives fuel our innovation. About the role
You will drive Numa's M&A agenda end-to-end with real autonomy — owning the pipeline, deal execution, due diligence, and post-merger integration from first screening through to close and beyond. This is a high-visibility role with direct access to the CEO and C-Level, where your work shapes company strategy in a tangible way. You operate with broad freedom to define how the M&A function develops, set priorities, and move deals forward — supported by strong executive sponsorship without being micromanaged. You will also bring Numa's AI strategy into the M&A context: assessing targets through the lens of tech and data maturity and modelling AI-enabled synergies.
Your Responsibilities
M&A Strategy & Pipeline
Develop target criteria, investment logic, and strategic rationale in close partnership with the VP.
Build and manage a proprietary deal pipeline: map markets, identify candidates, maintain a live long-list, drive early-stage outreach.
Design KPI-enabled screening frameworks to prioritise targets by strategic fit, unit economics, and technology/data maturity - ideally enabled by AI.
Deal Execution
Independently lead individual deal processes from outreach through signing – term sheet, DD, negotiation, and closing.
Own commercial and strategic due diligence; coordinate legal, financial, technical, and operational DD workstreams.
Build valuation models, investment memos, and C-Level decision materials. Manage external advisors while retaining internal ownership of the deal narrative.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain working relationships with founders, VCs, institutional investors, and PE counterparts across the pipeline.
Represent Numa credibly in early-stage conversations. Senior counterpart relationships and final negotiations are led by the VP and CEO.
Translate complex deal dynamics into clear recommendations for C-Level and Board.
Post-Merger Integration (PMI)
Execute and continuously improve Numa’s established PMI playbook across Operations, Tech, Finance, and Commercial.
Lead Day 1 planning and integration workstreams; track KPIs for synergy realisation and milestone delivery.
AI & Technology in M&A
Use AI-assisted tools to sharpen pipeline development and target identification.
Assess every target’s tech stack, data infrastructure, and AI readiness as a core DD dimension.
Model AI-driven synergies with Numa’s Tech and Data teams.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Work closely with Finance, Real Estate, Operations, and Commercial teams to ground deals in operational reality.
Support the build vs. buy vs. partner framework and contribute to investor narratives on M&A strategy.
