Allica is a UK-based fintech company serving SMEs in business banking. This role seeks an experienced Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure environments, supporting multi-region deployments and enabling self-service capabilities for development teams. What You'll Do • Design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple regions in Microsoft Azure • Build and manage Azure Container Apps for running microservices and lightweight containerized workloads • Configure and optimize Azure networking components including VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, and Azure Front Door • Drive infrastructure automation and governance through Terraform and Azure DevOps Pipelines • Introduce self-service templates and tooling to empower development teams to deploy securely and independently • Apply Azure Well-Architected Framework principles and collaborate with Security and Engineering teams on compliance What You Need • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, infrastructure, and networking • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls in cloud environments and centralized management via Panorama • Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices • Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub for CI/CD including branching and version control strategies • Skilled in managing Windows and Linux systems in cloud environments • Experience with multi-region architectures, resiliency design, and disaster recovery planning • Knowledge of Azure App Services, Container Apps, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid • Understanding of Azure networking, Front Door, Firewall, and API Management • Experience working in regulated environments such as fintech or financial services Nice to Have • Experience with GenAI and AI adoption • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities with collaborative mindset Discretionary bonus scheme, pension contributions, private health cover, life assurance, flexible and hybrid working options, full onboarding support and continued development opportunities
