Plume is a SaaS platform that delivers smart home and IoT services at scale using WiFi, AI, and machine learning. This Senior QA Engineer role focuses on ensuring product quality through comprehensive testing of WiFi connectivity, networking protocols, and embedded platform functionality. What You'll Do • Design, document, and execute test plans for WiFi connectivity, performance, stability, and functionality • Develop and maintain Python-based test automation to improve coverage and reduce regression cycles • Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing across WiFi, networking, and embedded platforms • Test and troubleshoot 802.11 protocols, Layer 2/3 networking, routing, VLAN, NAT, DNS, and DHCP • Use tools such as Wireshark for packet analysis and network troubleshooting; collaborate with software, firmware, and QA teams to define test strategies What You Need • 3–5 years of experience in QA, SDET, or Software Test Engineering, preferably in WiFi, networking or IoT • Strong understanding of WiFi (802.11) and networking fundamentals • Hands-on experience with embedded/router platforms and hardware test environments • Strong Python scripting and test automation skills • Experience with Wireshark and network troubleshooting • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience Nice to Have • Familiarity with RDK-B, prplOS, OpenWrt, or similar Linux-based router platforms • Knowledge of TR-369/USP, TR-181, TR-069/TR-098 protocols • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Postman, or similar QA/CI tools
