We’re on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within our expanding Queenstown QS team. Leading and supporting across multiple sectors, this role will perform full quantity surveying functions for our specialist infrastructure and commercial projects. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting, large-scale legacy projects with no two days being the same. We have the cool projects, we need more hands on deck! This role is responsible for: • Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors • Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities • Master plan and feasibility budgets • Cost checking of developing design • Value engineering • Tender evaluations and analysis • Contract negotiations • Cash flow projects • Procurement • Cost reporting • Evaluation of variations • Payment Recommendations • Final account reporting • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims • Investment analysis • Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans Qualifications 7+ years project experience Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/ Cost X Demonstrated track record of winning and managing major projects Additional Information • Annual bonus scheme • Southern Cross medical insurance • Paid professional memberships- support in gaining and supporting your membership costs for RICS or NZIQS • WT’s balanced way of working Apply now to join an international cost consultancy at the forefront of New Zealand's major construction across all sectors within our Queenstown office.
