This role is a Senior Software Engineer joining a newly forming Phase 0 team, responsible for shaping technical direction, architecture, and development practices while developing advanced data visualization capabilities and mentoring junior engineers. What You'll Do • Design and implement data visualization toolkits and frameworks for complex, multi-dimensional data • Support configuration, deployment, and operational use of visualization platforms • Develop and maintain web-based server applications implementing algorithms that interface with relational databases • Collaborate with users and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into intuitive, high-impact solutions • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance while contributing to agile development processes and team workflows What You Need • Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus fourteen years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment (or 18 years total experience without degree) • Proficiency in Python or Java • Experience creating complex, multi-dimensional data visualizations • Experience developing and maintaining web-based server applications and implementing algorithms interfacing with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL • Experience with data modeling and normalization of metrics Nice to Have • Experience with dynamic visualization techniques including drill-down, time-shifting, and cascading views • Experience leading or mentoring small cross-functional technical teams • Experience serving in a cloud architect or technical lead role • Experience designing user-focused or UX-driven visualization solutions • Experience working in early-phase or forming project teams • Experience supporting data visualization for network or system data Competitive benefits package including $10,000 annual training and education benefit, 10% 401(k) contribution fully vested on day one, annual health and technology allowances, and access to state-of-the-art technology lab
