Description
This company builds software infrastructure for quantum computing systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and maintain the software stack that orchestrates quantum computing operations, transform research prototypes into production services, and lead infrastructure development for system tuning, calibration, and algorithm execution.
What You'll Do
• Build and maintain the software orchestration stack for quantum computing systems, interfacing with hardware control and calibration systems
• Rewrite and productionize prototype code from Quantum Engineers into reliable, well-tested, maintainable production services
• Develop and maintain infrastructure for automating system tuning and calibration processes
• Design and operate software for scheduling quantum algorithm execution and analyzing experimental results
• Deploy, monitor, and support the production platform with shared on-call rotation responsibilities
• Partner with infrastructure teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment processes
What You Need
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience deploying complex software in production environments
• Proficiency with Python and SQL
• Experience developing and operating software in Linux environments
• Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and modern software development practices
• Track record of implementing architecture-level features in complex systems
Nice to Have
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD)
• Experience with compiled languages such as C++ or Rust
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Terraform
• Experience building TypeScript/React frontend components
• Experience with containerization technologies
• Experience working at both large technology companies and startups
