Operating with a distributed workforce across global regions, Reddit is dedicated to building community and belonging across the internet. 🎯 The Role The Deployment Infrastructure team at Reddit is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to spearhead the design and evolution of the web UI for their build and deployment platform. In this position, you will bridge frontend engineering, distributed infrastructure, and developer experience to build intuitive web tools that empower engineers across Reddit to ship software safely and reliably to a globally distributed cloud environment. 🛠️ Tech Stack • React, Lit, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 • Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules • GraphQL, REST, gRPC, Go • Kubernetes, Argo Rollouts, Argo Workflows, Temporal • Buildkite, GitHub Actions, Drone • AWS, GCP 💼 What You'll Do • Architect, build, and deliver high-quality full-stack features with an emphasis on modular, maintainable UI components. • Design clean, resilient API contracts and service boundaries between client interfaces and deployment backends. • Help build systems that handle complex release orchestration, multi-cluster progressive rollouts, and automated failure rollbacks. • Convert complex cloud and deployment concepts into seamless, easy-to-use developer interfaces. • Partner directly with software engineers across Reddit via interviews and feedback loops to shape standard release paths. • Elevate team-wide engineering practices through technical guidance, mentorship, code reviews, and on-call platform support. ✅ What You'll Need • 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with deep expertise in modern frontend development. • Demonstrated proficiency with component-based frameworks (e.g., React, Lit) and web fundamentals. • Solid backend capabilities with clear understanding of distributed systems, API architecture, and service boundaries. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (Buildkite, GitHub Actions) and progressive deployment mechanisms (Argo Rollouts, Kayenta). • Familiarity with containerized workflows using Kubernetes, Temporal, and major cloud providers (AWS or GCP). • Strong communication skills with an empathetic, collaborative approach to navigating technical tradeoffs. 🌟 Nice to Have • Background working in developer experience, infrastructure, or platform engineering teams. • Experience designing and implementing UI/UX workflows in tools like Figma. • Prior work conducting user research and gathering feedback from engineering users. • Hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Go, GraphQL, or gRPC.
