Description
Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges before customers even notice them? Are you the engineer colleagues turn to when production incidents require calm decision-making and deep technical expertise? And do you want to work on a platform that supports the pensions of millions of people? This is exactly the challenge you’ll take on at Keylane.
As a Senior Technical Application Engineer in our Lifetime Technical Application Management (TAM) team, you’ll take ownership of the stability, security and performance of our product Lifetime, as is our powerful platform for pension administration in the Dutch and Caribbean markets. It supports a wide range of pension providers and schemes and is delivered as a secure SaaS solution from our private cloud, fully integrated into the customers’ technical landscape via standard web services.
In this senior role, you will:
• Taking the lead on complex incidents and acting as the technical escalation point for colleagues and stakeholders.
• Guard and improve application availability, resilience, and performance by implementing structural improvements and preventive measures.
• Manage the lifecycle of the underlying technology stack, including patching and upgrades for Windows Server, Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, Tomcat and related components.
• Manage the full lifecycle of client and server certificates, ensuring timely renewals, secure deployment and seamless coordination with customers.
• Deliver secure application integrations by supporting deployments, configuring web services, and coordinating network, security and whitelisting requirements and end-to-end validation.
• Maintain a healthy and resilient platform by driving capacity management, monitoring across application, middleware, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Lead business-critical resilience and security activities, including disaster recovery and failover testing, penetration tests and external audits.
• Improve operational efficiency by automating through scripting, tooling and configuration management.
• Contribute to the standardization of operational processes, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, SaaS Platform, Database Administration, Security and customer stakeholders, to deliver reliable and secure services.
• Inspire and support your colleagues by mentoring junior engineers and actively sharing knowledge, best practices and technical expertise.
