Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.   Social Strategy Director (Maternity Cover) | FMCG Foods Client Location: Rotterdam (hybrid) Employment Type: 6-month FTC (maternity cover) We are looking for an experienced Social Strategy Director to lead social and digital strategy for a leading global FMCG food client across Europe. In this role, you will define the overarching social strategy for key European markets and partner with local social teams to translate it into culturally relevant, market-specific campaigns. You will help shape how brands connect with consumers across social, influencer, content, and commerce channels, ensuring consistency, effectiveness, and local relevance. What You'll Do Develop and own the social-first strategy across multiple European markets, including Germany, France, Benelux, Poland, Italy, and the UK. Translate global brand and communications strategies into actionable local social frameworks. Guide local teams on campaign planning, content strategy, influencer activity, and social best practices. Identify cultural, consumer, and platform trends within the food category and turn them into effective marketing opportunities. Champion the use of AI-powered tools for insight generation, strategic planning, and creative optimization. Partner with data and insights teams to measure performance and continuously improve social effectiveness. Support real-time and reactive content planning around key cultural and category moments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, creators, agencies, and local stakeholders to deliver impactful campaigns. What We're Looking For Significant experience in strategic planning, social strategy, or integrated communications, agency or client side. Strong understanding of European social media landscapes and local market nuances. Proven ability to develop regional strategies and scale them through multiple markets. Experience working with influencer, creator, and content ecosystems. Familiarity with AI tools and enthusiasm for applying them within the marketing process. Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
