Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. • Provides benefits overview to new employees during new-hire orientations. • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data. • Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes. • Coordinates wellness program and activities. • Creates and manages benefits enrollment process and determines eligibility. • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries. • Oversees the leave-of-absence process: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. • Responds to 401(k) inquiries relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the bi-weekly payroll deferral upload. Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges. Serves as TDECU’s contact with third party vendors providing benefit and wellbeing services to employees. • Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, benefit and wellbeing program trends, and prevailing practices within the industry. Ensures required plan documents are in place and government-mandated disclosures, e.g. summary documents, are distributed to eligible employees.  Oversees development of informative material from vendors, ensures availability of adequate material and develops benefits and wellness materials in-house. Designs and oversees benefit and wellbeing enrollment process and annual open enrollment meetings to ensure employees receive accurate information and enrollments are completed on a timely basis. • Responsible for filing workers compensation claims and maintains OSHA 300 log.
