Description
Adaptive Biotechnologies is transforming immune medicine diagnostics and treatment. The Staff Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and lead the buildout of robust, scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, serving both internal and customer-facing applications while mentoring other Cloud Engineers. What You'll Do • Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies to address complex bioinformatics and business system challenges • Oversee end-to-end implementation of solution deployments in Microsoft Azure across the entire technology stack • Mentor and function as technical lead to other Cloud Engineers, providing guidance on system design and implementation • Partner with development teams, QA, and Release Management to ensure secure, compliant, and best-practice software releases • Document systems and designs for future supportability and maintain compliance with security and information handling policies What You Need • 12+ years of experience designing and supporting highly-available, 24/7 production systems • Strong working knowledge of Linux, networking, storage, and information security • Proven experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services • Database administration experience (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and application stack administration (Apache, JBoss, Play Framework) • Mastery of IT automation languages (Chef, Puppet, or Ansible) • Experience with DevOps in a cloud context and proven mentoring/leadership skills Nice to Have • Healthcare industry experience with HIPAA and FDA regulatory considerations $148,000–$222,000 base salary, plus equity grant and bonus eligibility
