Who We Are
Spot & Tango is an innovative pet health & wellness brand that delivers personalized meal plans on a subscription basis. Our recipes are developed by leading animal nutritionists and are made with only real, human-grade ingredients... and nothing artificial! We have lofty goals (to make every dog in the country healthier, and every pet parent happier!) and we are looking for the right people to help us get there. This is an exciting opportunity to join a VC-backed, high-growth, e-commerce startup and have an outsized impact in an extremely fast-paced environment. Plus, you get to think about dogs all day!
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Strategic Go-to-Market Manager for our newest brand, PupGum. PupGum is our first-of-its-kind dog dental chew with clinically proven compounds that freshen dog breath and clean teeth. You thrive at the intersection of marketing, growth, and business development. You are highly entrepreneurial and are equal parts analytical thinker, creative problem solver, and operational doer.
You’ll be responsible for identifying, testing, and scaling new ways to build awareness, acquire customers, and unlock growth – working cross-functionally and independently to develop initiatives that sit outside our core paid channels. This could include everything from building partnerships to shaping field programs, expanding our community footprint, or activating underutilized organic levers.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in consulting, finance, or high-growth environments who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and own high-impact initiatives from strategy through execution.
You’re a builder. You’re creative and naturally curious - you appreciate great branding and marketing, and you know you could build that yourself. You’re equally comfortable with high level strategic thinking and detail oriented marketing work. You thrive by taking ownership of projects and driving them forward without needing hand-holding. You are an exceptional communicator who can manage various external and brand relationships. You’re excited about the opportunity to help craft the storytelling and marketing for a fast-growing, innovative brand end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
Content Strategy - Build, manage, and scale PupGum’s influencer and UGC content to amplify the brand’s mission, credibility, and reach across priority channels. Draft clear, insight-driven creative briefs for ambassadors and influencers; review submissions and provide structured, actionable feedback to ensure alignment with brand voice and performance goals. Define creative and messaging strategy across brand and performance marketing; translate strategic objectives into clear briefs for creators and partners, and oversee development of high-performing content
Partnerships & External Relationships - Assist with PR initiatives, including managing press materials and supporting press events and activations. Manage strategic relationships with agencies, creators, partners, and advisors to extend reach and accelerate impact
Channel Expansion & New Levers - Identify, assess, and scale new awareness and growth channels (including partnerships, field activations, SEO, PR, events, and expert communities) using a structured test-and-learn approach
Experimentation & Optimization - Design and run rigorous experimentation programs across the website (landing pages, PDPs, content, and copy), owning A/B testing frameworks, insights, and iteration
Launch & Program Management - Own end-to-end execution of brand initiatives, including project management, timelines, and cross-functional coordination across product, creative, and operations
Performance Analysis & Insights - Track KPIs, analyze performance, and synthesize insights into clear recommendations; iterate strategy based on quantitative and qualitative learnings
