Purpose of the Job:
• Lead and integrate the end-to-end Supply Chain function across two business units in Pune, India, driving operational excellence, cost competitiveness, service reliability, and compliance.
• Own the complete value chain from demand planning to procurement, production planning, logistics, warehousing & trade compliance, aligned with Armacell’s global standards and WAM (World Class Manufacturing) framework.

Description of main tasks:
The Incumbent is responsible for the following tasks:
1.) End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership
· Lead integrated supply chain operations across two manufacturing units
· Drive alignment between Demand, Supply, Production, and Customer Service
· Build a responsive and cost-efficient supply chain supporting business growth
· Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Global teams
2.) S&OP and Demand Planning
· Own and drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
· Improve forecast accuracy and demand visibility
· Ensure optimal balance between service levels (OTIF) and inventory levels
· Translate demand plans into actionable supply and production plans
3.) Production Planning & Inventory Management
· Lead production planning for capacity optimization and service reliability
· Ensure zero line stoppage due to material shortages
· Drive inventory optimization (RM, WIP, FG) while maintaining service targets
· Establish strong governance on inventory accuracy (System vs. Physical), controls and quality (Minimization of Slow-Moving & Obsolete Inventory (%), Reduction / Elimination of Excess Inventory Value, SKU Rationalization & Optimization, Safety Stock Effectiveness)
4.) Vendor Development & Performance Management
· Establish supplier evaluation and development frameworks
· Drive supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and innovation
· Lead supplier audits, risk mitigation, and long-term partnerships
5.) Procurement of Materials & Services and Strategic Sourcing
· Lead & direct procurement of raw materials, packaging, indirects, and services
· Develop a new vendor /product to support the product development team to get product outsourced from supplier or manufacture inhouse
· Develop sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings and supply continuity
· Drive purchase price variance (PPV), cost optimization, and contract negotiations
· Build and manage a robust, competitive supplier base
6.) Logistics & Warehouse Management
· Lead inbound and outbound logistics across both units
· Ensuring the health, safety & wellbeing of the employees with zero incidents throughout the logistics and warehouse operations
· Drive optimization of freight cost, warehouse efficiency, and network design
· Drive high performance on: OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) delivery, Vehicle turnaround time, Warehouse productivity & safety
· Drive digitalization and process improvements in logistics operations
7.) Regulatory / Trade Compliance
· Drive full compliance with import/export regulations, customs, and statutory requirements
· Mitigate compliance risks and ensure zero non-compliance incidents
8.) WAM Supply Chain Pillar
· Lead Supply Chain pillar within WAM framework
· Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and process excellence initiatives
· Improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize end-to-end cycle time
Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain
9.) People Management & Leadership
· Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team across functions
· Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement & Demonstrate doing business in A.R.M.A. way
Job Specifications
Professional Education
• Engineer / Graduate in any Field
• M.B.A. / Post Graduate in Supply Chain Management (Preferred)
Professional Experience (how long)?
15 - 20 years
In which areas?
Supply Chain in manufacturing industry (preferably MNC) - Building Material, Insulation Material, Chemical

• Demonstrable maturity & professionalism.
• The ability to inspire confidence of senior management through timely delivery of information and plan
