The Advanced Systems Administration Specialist maintains and supports enterprise systems and infrastructure across physical and virtual server environments. This role focuses on system configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with evolving technologies. What You'll Do • Manage configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual server infrastructure • Monitor server and system performance using enterprise monitoring tools and identify and resolve system issues • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and server software with routine patching and updates • Configure and troubleshoot network interfaces and connectivity for servers • Develop and execute scripts to automate repetitive operational processes and conduct preventive maintenance What You Need • Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network environments Nice to Have • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions • Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as Nagios or SolarWinds
