About the Role The Disputes Agent will join our Disputes Management team and handle toll exceptions and incoming customer disputes. Reporting to the Toll Disputes Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for entering data and investigating and processing inbound customer disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in analyzing and processing information and will be motivated to deliver the best possible experience for our customers. This is a Phoenix-based hybrid position that requires a physical presence in our downtown office, with a portion of the workweek completed remotely. Essential Responsibilities Dispute Processing and Research Assist with investigating tolling exceptions, identifying their causes, and categorizing them for billing. Enter dispute information manually or through system-assisted processes and research transactions based on established criteria. Perform extensive research and analysis using agency websites and customer communication follow-ups. Analyze transactions from multiple data sources to identify anomalies and potential patterns. Reporting and Process Support Support processes and procedures related to disputes and agency reporting. Detect, document, and help correct quality issues. Complete other tasks as assigned by team leadership. Customer and Agency Communication Communicate actively with customers and agency representatives to manage expectations and resolve conflicts. Communicate tactfully and professionally in challenging situations. Relay information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
