Description
Job Description: CROWN Hellas Can Packaging SA is seeking a dedicated Toolcare Technician to maintain, repair, and calibrate tooling used in our manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and product quality. • Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repair of various manufacturing tools, dies, and molds. • Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and defects, and determine appropriate corrective actions. • Execute precision adjustments and calibrations to tooling to meet exact specifications. • Utilize manual and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges). • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in maintenance logs and systems. • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot tooling-related issues and implement improvements. • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing duties. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace. • Assist in the procurement and inventory management of spare parts and new tooling components. • Provide technical support and guidance to production operators regarding tool usage and basic maintenance. Job Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanics, machining, or a related field is highly preferred. • Proven experience (2+ years) in tool maintenance, repair, or a similar technical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of precision machinery. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. • Familiarity with various types of tooling used in can packaging or similar metal forming industries is a plus. • Ability to use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment accurately. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Good communication skills, both written and verbal. • Physical ability to lift moderate weights, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
