Closing date: 21 August 2026 Salary Scale: £52,000 - £55,000 per annum Help Shape the Future of Britain's Railway  Rail Delivery Group (RDG) partners with Britain’s train operators to put customers at the heart of everything we do, delivering essential services and dedicated experts who keep the nation’s railway running efficiently.   From journey information, reservations and Railcards to improving performance, safety and accessibility, we drive the services and people that keep the railway moving. Anyone who has travelled by train or booked a journey for friends or family, will have used our services. We are integral to the running of the railway and play a crucial part at every stage of the customer journey – making sure we are delivering a better railway for all our customers, now and in the future.    As we embark on a new era for rail, we are now looking for a Project Manager to join us. If you are motivated by meaningful work and want to play a role in the future of Britain's railway, we'd love to hear from you!  What is the purpose of this job?  This role is to project manage several workstreams, as part of the wider Traincrew Programme an industry programme to support best practice in traincrew resourcing. To help deliver improvements to how the industry manages and delivers traincrew resourcing. Focusing on the delivery of workstreams to help the industry achieve the long term driver strategy. To support the subject matter experts in ensuring the outputs of the project are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with industry requirements. What can I expect to do in this job?  ·       Develop a plan to deliver the requirements of a traincrew workstreams, in line with industry requirements ·       Management of delivery to the plan in line with the identified project plan ·       Project monitoring and tracking of activity, risks and issues in line with RDG project governance ·       Identify key stakeholders for the project in line with the Traincrew Programme’s stakeholder and communications plan ·       Work with project stakeholders to ensure adequate development and adoption of project outputs through the Traincrew Forum and other engagement opportunities ·       Coordinating and attending working group and steering group sessions ·       Provide regular written and verbal reports back to the relevant governance and stakeholder groups to support Traincrew Board This role is accountable for successfully project management of the Traincrew workstreams. The role aims to put the structures in place for the project to meet its objectives and crucially delivers the benefits it sets out to achieve. The role is in part accountable for the realisation of these benefits, in partnership with the programme lead and the recipients of the change. Who will my key contacts be? ·       Traincrew Programme team members ·       Passenger Train Operator representative– leads for implementing and using tools created by project ·       Network Rail leads for implementing and using tools created by the project ·       3rd party industry suppliers ·       Other industry programme stakeholders This is a cross industry role that should be able to work with senior leaders to front line staff.
