Job Description The EVS Tech cleans and maintains assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, according to established procedures. This position provides services necessary to prevent cross-contamination and the spread of infection between patients, visitors, and staff. Key Responsibilities: Performs a variety of activities to clean assigned areas in patient rooms, operating rooms, pre-op/recovery rooms, and/or common areas of the hospital, according to established procedures Completes assignments in an efficient manner while maintaining a high standard of work, ensuring the established guidelines and practices are met Utilizes proper knowledge of safety, hospital codes and infection control measures according to established departmental guidelines Demonstrates the ability to operate floor care machinery and other cleaning machines safely Properly collect and dispose of regular trash, regulated medical waste and soiled linens Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of environmental services experience in a hospital setting Floor Maintenance experience Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
