The People & Culture Division leads the implementation of strategic, people-focused initiatives across Toyota, fostering a safe, inclusive environment where teammates are empowered to reach their full potential. Operating through an HR shared services model, the division delivers best-practice consultancy, training, and development support to Toyota employees and OneToyota affiliates. Its comprehensive services span organisational development, professional training, health and safety, remuneration and benefits, employee relations, and talent acquisition, all underpinned by advanced technology platforms and systems. In this role, you will take ownership of the payroll and financial administration associated with Toyota's vehicle benefits, ensuring accurate payroll processing, reconciliations, and the effective and efficient delivery of employee vehicle leasing and charging arrangements. Beyond day-to-day operations, you will proactively identify process inefficiencies, investigate discrepancies, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, compliance, and the employee experience. This is a role for someone who enjoys analysing data, solving problems, challenging existing processes, and taking initiative to improve outcomes rather than simply maintaining the status quo. This role is based in Altona North with flexible work arrangements on offer. How you'll make an impact • Own the end-to-end reconciliation of vehicle payroll files, ensuring accurate employee deductions, lease payments, and payroll outcomes. • Investigate payroll discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions to improve accuracy and compliance. • Monitor, analyse, and maintain vehicle benefits data, ensuring robust reporting, governance, and data integrity. • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance the efficiency of vehicle benefits and payroll administration. • Partner with Payroll, Finance, Toyota Fleet Management, and employees to resolve complex queries and deliver positive business outcomes. • Administer key employee vehicle programs, including Employee Family Vehicle Purchase (EFVP) and Employee Spare Parts Purchase (ESP) schemes, while ensuring a high standard of customer service and policy compliance. Your attributes • Demonstrated experience in payroll, payroll reconciliations, employee benefits administration, or a similar role with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance. • Proven ability to analyse data, identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and drive process improvements. • Highly proactive with a continuous improvement mindset, taking ownership of tasks and initiatives through to completion. • Strong Excel and reporting capability, including experience working with large or complex data sets. • Experience within automotive, fleet management, vehicle leasing, vehicle auctions, car rental, or a similar operational environment is highly regarded but not essential. • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
